Originally from a small Appalachian town in Tennessee and the youngest of eight children, my childhood cultivated a passion for stories that center around family. I hope to create narratives that touch on the heart of community and show how we, as valuable moving parts of humanity, are more similar than different from each other. I am passionate about collaborating with subjects, working in teams, and using our vulnerabilities to connect with one another.

I am a senior at Ohio University studying photojournalism and recently participated in the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI. When I studied at the Danish School of Media and Journalism as part of their international Photo II program, I was challenged to think and photograph metaphorically to create deeper meaning in stories. At the San Francisco Chronicle internship I photographed daily assignments and two personal projects that centered around healing in communities. Prior to that at the Courier-Journal internship I juggled photo, video and writing assignments.

I am based in Athens, Ohio and available for work.
